Fresh Autumn Truffles
Black Autumn Truffles (Tuber Uncinatum vitt)
All our truffles are personally hunted by ourselves between September and February with our specially trained truffle-dog. We supply home cooks and restaurants, as well producing our own array of truffle products.
Black autumn truffles possess a uniquely delicate and earthy flavour, excellent when sliced or grated raw over simple ingredients such as eggs, pasta, cheese, chicken or fish.
Once foraged, fresh truffles generally last for up to 10 days when stored correctly. Although for best results we recommend consumption within 3 days of receipt.
STORING FRESH TRUFFLES
Wrap each truffle in kitchen paper and store them in a sealed plastic or glass container, refrigerated between 3-5 degrees
Truffles naturally give off moisture during storage, so we recommend that the paper is replaced daily and any condensation that has formed on the inside of the box is wiped off.
Black truffles usually last for 7-10 days, but every truffle is different, so should always aim to use them as soon as possible for the best experience.
